This is the General Attitudes towards Artificial Intelligence Scale (GAAIS), a research instrument by Schepman and Rodway validated in 2020 and confirmed in 2023. By artificial intelligence the scale means devices that can perform tasks that would usually require human intelligence: computers, robots or other hardware, possibly with sensors or cameras. It measures attitudes, meaning how you feel, not how much you know or whether you are right. There are no right or wrong answers. Positive and negative feelings are scored as two separate dimensions, so it is normal to land high on both.
